The Fire Sky Ankole Bulls Catalogue
The Fire Sky Breeding Bulls
In the past 4 years we travelled the country, took part in the auctions and accumulated over 20 bulls, from which we selected only the top 4 for our future breeding program. We also used semen from famous bulls like Cumulus, Maximus, Uganda, and others. We had all our young bulls tested and evaluated (certificates are available) and we only use sexed semen produced from them through Ramsem in Bloemfontein. We acquired two young bulls from the recently imported new genetics and we will soon be combining them with what we believe is one of the best herds of current SA genetics.
NANK19-018 Dyambo Junior
Length 45″, Base 21 6/8″, Tip to Tip 41″, Weight 672KG
Dyambo Junior is a son of the iconic 49 4/8″ Dyambo who is well known for breeding exceptional offspring with thick and long horns. Dyambo has sired many exceptional heifers and bulls in the industry. Dyambo Junior carries superb genetics that are not easily surpassed. His famous sire is a BA1 and A4 combination, but he possesses an additional dose of all things great through his dam, a BA1 and A5 product. This young bull stands out amongst the Dyambo sons, because of the absolutely amazing genetics from the dam’s side. He will be an anchor stud bull for all our BA2 and BA3 cows. Dyambo Junior has quickly converted his potential into demonstrable growth and performance.
R19-004 Zeus
Length 44″+, Base 21″, Tip to Tip 53 7/8″, Weight 754KG
Zeus is an exceptional bull for his age in mass and horn growth. At just under 4 years of age he weighed 750kg! With prominent male features, he is a perfect Ankole bull specimen. His sire is the phenomenal ANKGEN6-015, which has been the stud bull of Rydens for years! His BA1 and A13 sire combines well with the double BA2 bloodlines from his dam Kamali, which herself contributed A13 and A29 bloodlines.
At the early age of 18 months old when we selected him, he already showed all the potential to grow into a phenomenal breeding bull. He is well adapted to our harsh bushveld with his hardened and tick resistant deep dark brown skin. Everything about his body and build spells masculinity. We may not have bred this monster but we picked him well and he is delivering!
A21-003 Ruhugo
Son of Sheba
Measured at 4 years 9 months:
Length 38 7/8″, Base 17″, Tip to Tip 52 4/8″, Weight 668KG
This young giant is proof of what can be achieved with the BA2 bloodline. The sire was a BA2 and A17 combo, and his dam is the iconic Sheba, herself a BA2 and A10 combination. He is a super fertile bull, with strong offspring.
The name Ruhugo describes his beautiful deep red colour, combined with a loose and smooth skin which makes him well adapted to the harsh and warm bushveld. It is only his huge and perfectly balanced frame that makes his above average trophy not look more pronounced.
DFN22-036 Samson
Son of Cumulus
Measured at 3 years 6 months:
Length: 34″, Base 15 4/8″, Tip to Tip 48 2/8″, Weight 595KG
What a combination of just the best!
Two of SA’s top animals, crossed to produce a future stud bull. 52″ Cumulus brings BA2 and the phenomenal A26, and 52″ Aura is living proof of the BA1/A17 potential.
We invested in some of South Africa’s best proven genetics and will strengthen our herd with this young giants genetics.
FSAN22-007 Magic
Son of Maximus
Measured at 3 years:
Length 34″, Base 18″, Tip to Tip 42″, Weight 620KG
Magic was born soon after his dam Mukisa arrived on Fire Sky. Little did we know that she would die soon after and leave Magic as her final legacy.
He has a very similar look to his famous sire – Maximus. This combination of BA7/A26 and BA2/A6 will definitely strengthen our herd in the future.
Foundational 2006 Ugandan Genetics
FSAN22-006 Oberon
Son of BA3
Measured at 2 years 10 months:
Length: 28″, Base 17″, Tip to Tip 40 3/8″, Weight 626KG
An absolutely phenomenal combination of the prolific A18 foundational cow, combined with BA3. Oberon was born on Fire Sky from an originally imported embryo which was frozen for 16 years.
Oberon is a full brother of the foundational cow NANK09-008 who is the dam of the 50″ Zwakala NANK18-006.
What an amazing and golden opportunity to add original genetics into our breeding. He looks like a bull, and his behaviour confirms his future status as a herd breeding bull!
SA24-U1 Novus
KBE503 with KE701
Measured at 1 year 4 months
Length: 12 2/8″, Base 13″, Tip to Tip 22″, Weight 419KG
Novus means new! New genetics from Uganda via Kenya. This is one of the most spectacular young Ankole bulls I have ever seen, with a beautiful temperament.
The future of Fire Sky’s genetics is looking great! This bull could soon be used to expand teh genetic pool of Fire Sky, combining new and unreleated genetics with SA’s best!
SA24-U2 NextGen
