Asante is by Bont Beast (A14-001) out of Nandi (A15-006). Asante changed hands for R210 000 in 2025. A recorded sale of R270 000 for Anansi (SA23-001), her half-sister, adds useful market proof.
From the sale catalogue
1. What’s in a name? Asante means exuding gratitude, in other words, it means: Thank you! So appropriate for this diamond, another granddaughter of our famous Kyasha. 2. Where’s she from? Asante is the older half-sister of Arcturus (Lot 13) through her +40” dam Nandi (A15-006). Looking at her, it is obvious that she is the progeny of 52 4/8” Kyasha (A07-042) with such distinct markings on her forehead. This time Nandi got combined with A14-001 (Bont Beast), the mottled son of Uganda (A07-039). Asante personifies the traditional Ugandan Ankole look. She is a well-proportioned heifer, with a dark brown skin and a typical but distinctive marking on her face. 3. What could she be? Asante would be the super fertile cow any Ankole investor would build their stud on. Her dam and grand dam are both top embryo donors. Through her sire and grandsire, she has mottled genetics, waiting to be brought out through future pairing with an appropriate bull.
